Travel Tips for Armenia

Visas	Visitor visa entitles a foreigner to enter the Republic of Armenia and stay in the country for up to 120 days. Visas are issued in diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Armenia, at the border crossing points of the Republic of Armenia (conventional visas fee is US $50) or electronically (e-Visa). Money	Armenian Dram (AMD) is the national currency of the Republic of Armenia. Paper money comes in the following denominations: 1 000, 5 000, 10 000, 20 000, 50 000 AMD and 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 in coins.

Foreign Currencies	Foreign currencies can be exchanged at ATM, banks, exchange agencies, several post offices and in most hotels. There are many ATMs located in the centre of Yerevan.

Credit Cards	Visa, Master Card, American Express, Maestro credit cards are accepted throughout Armenia.

Banking hours	Banks in Armenia usually open from 9:30AM to 6:00PM, from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays banks are open till 1:00PM
